JuneYao Airlines becomes the youngest registered member of IOSA
ReleaseDate: 2009-10-01

IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) is an auditing project formulated by International Air Transport Association (IATA) in December 2003, which aims at enforcing stringent inspection on the flight management system of all airline companies throughout the world. As a control system for evaluating the operation management of an airline company, it is currently the most authoritative safety operation standard in the world, and thus endowed with international credibility. Only after passing auditing by IOSA can an airline company be granted access into the aviation market in developed countries such as countries in Europe and the United States.

July 17, 2009 marked a historical moment for Shanghai JUNEYAO AIRLINES Co., Ltd, (“JuneYao Airlines” for short). After a preliminary preparation spanning as long as 16 months and one week stringent auditing by the auditing team, as an emerging private owned airline company with less than three years of operation history, JuneYao Airlines passed IATA auditing with high scores, and formally received IOSA registration certificate, which enabled it to become the first emerging private-owned airline company which successfully passed IOSA auditing in China, and also the youngest airline company in China to be awarded IOSA accreditation. This accreditation means that JuneYao Airlines has reached the latest and most authoritative safety operation standard in the international aviation industry; meanwhile it also signifies that JuneYao Airlines has officially been granted the safety access pass for entering the aviation market in developed countries such as countries in Europe and the United States.

“As an emerging airline company, it is indeed extraordinary to achieve such great results in its first IOSA (inspection)”, Perry Chou, the auditing team leader in charge of IOSA for JuneYao Airlines, indicated at the last IOSA auditing meeting for JuneYao Airlines held on March 20, “This is a very extraordinary result”. In the future JuneYao Airlines will strictly enforce operation regulations in compliance with the company’s operation manual, in order to keep its operation in line with IOSA standards, and to ensure the Company’s long term operation safety.
