Wang Junjin Accompanied Chinese Private-owned Enterprise Delegation to Visit Africa

In July, Wang Junjin, member of the standing committee of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Chairman of JuneYao Group, participated in the inspection tour to three African countries organized by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and also the Salon of the Chiefs of Large Private-owned Enterprises 2012 held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.

From July 3 till 14, during the visit to Africa, Wang Junjin joined Quan Zhezhu, who is Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and First Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and a number of private entrepreneurs to learn about the investment environment and policies in South Africa, Tanzania and Ethiopia, and paid on-site visits to the foreign investment and cooperation projects of Chinese private-owned enterprises in these countries.

During the period, the whole delegation respectively met with chief persons in Chinese embassies, relevant government departments and chambers of commerce in these countries, acquired in-depth understating on economic and trade growth, industry investment policies, and resource development and cooperation in the three countries, and signed cooperation memorandum with the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce & Sectorial Association.

The delegation also inspected local Chinese enterprises, at the seminars held respectively in the three African countries, Wang Junjin and other Chinese private entrepreneurs discussed the achievements and problems in foreign investment projects together with local Chinese enterprises. This time’s overseas visit strengthened the communication and cooperation between All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and chambers of commerce in the foreign countries being visited, and helped Chinese private-owned enterprises in their “walk out” efforts.

After returning to China, Wang Junjin attended the Salon of Chiefs of Large Private-owned Enterprises held in Wuxi on July 18. In the meeting discussion session under the title “Development of Chinese Private-owned Enterprises in the Next Decade: Concept, Vision, Structure and Setup”, Wang Junjin joined entrepreneurs from 43 large private-owned enterprises including Shagang Group, Geely Holding Group, Fosun Group, Bright Oceans Corporation, Vantone Real Estate, Holley Group, Hengtong Group, and Far East Holding Group, to carry out in-depth discussion on the topics of growth trend of Chinese economy in the next decade, vision of enterprise development, arrangement of corporate governance structure and planning of public welfare behavior, enterprise globalization approach, and the orientation of national macro economy policies.

At the meeting, Huang Mengfu, Vice Chairman of CPPCC National Committee and Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, put forward requirements for entrepreneurs, he hoped large private-owned enterprises to size up the situation, properly map out enterprise development plan, actively participate in the administration and discussion of political affairs, bring forward creativity, and dedicate more to social welfare undertakings, in order to make greater contributions to national economic development, and the well-being of employees and the public.

As Vice Chairman of the China Society for Promotion of Guangcai Program, Wang Junjin visited Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province on July 25, and joined 230 plus private entrepreneurs from across the nation to participate in the “Yanbian Tour of China Guangcai Undertaking”, aiming to offer assistance to frontier ethnic minority areas to speed up scientific development and harmonious development through donations and projects.
