JuneYao assisted the Sino-US Outstanding Youth Project to select 30 in-campus students to go to the United States for study this year

In the afternoon of March 10, the Information Communication Meeting for the Sino-US Outstanding Youth Training Project 2015 of the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Foundation successfully opened at the 32F Multifunction Hall of JuneYao International Plaza, the “Sino-US Outstanding Youth Training Project”, a cooperation project jointly held by the Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China, Shanghai Municipal Overseas Chinese Foundation and the University of Maryland, simultaneously kicked off enrolment. Wang Junhao, President of JuneYao Group, the Project’s sponsor, attended the meeting in response to invitation and delivered speech, he explained JuneYao Group’s philosophy on public welfare and talked about public welfare projects that JuneYao Group had joined and supported in past years.



In his speech, President Wang Junhao cited “Those with strength should be eager in helping, those with wealth should be willing in sharing, those with moral integrity should be persuasive in preaching”, a famous epigram from Mozi (a distinguished thinker, philosopher and politician during the Warring States Period), and pointed out JuneYao Group consistently made untiring exploration to become a century enterprise in the modern service industry that can create value for the society. He said JuneYao Group always revolved around education and social responsibility in carrying our work, including making donations to the Undergraduate West China Volunteer Fund of the Central Committee of Chinese Communist Youth League, set up the World Foreign Language School and so on, the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Foundation hosted the Sino-US Outstanding Youth Training Project which shoulders the mission of “Journey of Grand Vision”, and holds epoch-making significance, it highly coincides with JuneYao Group’s values and concepts, the Group will continue to go all out to support this project in the future.



It has been learned that, this year marked the first time this Project joined hands with the University of Maryland to select a total of 30 in-campus university students, postgraduate students and a few outstanding on-job youths to go to the United States for training and exchange, aiming to cultivate young leading talents with global vision, and boost Sino-American non-governmental humanity exchange.



The Sino-US Outstanding Youth Training Project was held five times from 2009 to 2014, during this period it received special support from Shanghai JuneYao Group. In early 2013, this project was formally incorporated into the “Sino-US humanity Exchange Research Base” overall framework of the Peking University, and received praise from all social circles. By the end of 2014, this project has sponsored and sent a total of 159 outstanding youths to the United States to receive training, most of them were morally and academically outstanding university students, postgraduate students screened out after recommendation and selection, and a few outstanding on-job youths.



This project received high level of concern from all major media in Shanghai and chief persons of relevant departments of all key universities, media such as Xinhua News Agency Shanghai Branch, Shanghai TV Station, and and key universities including Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University one after another dispatched dedicated personnel to organize interview and learn about info.
